A 3Peaks Triumph

We finished the challenge with humbled hearts. 3 days of resilience, triumph and complete exhaustion was the metaphor of a mountain climbed - but in reality too. The necessary measures to match the generosity of those who have been kind enough to give towards our fundraiser.

The weather was cruel, the hills were crueller, but I can't get over the array of smiles on people's faces and the sense of achievement.

Mike said, 'I am so thankful that we have attracted such a positive community around our work.'

Alongside all of the amazing personal achievements; including some new recruits to mountain climbing and hill challenges, we have raised a wonderful amount of money which will go towards supporting 3Pillars Project work.

While we take a few days to wind down and put our feet up, we’re still high on the joy and accomplishment of another triumphant 3Peaks event.

As we grow as a charity, we increasingly want to employ graduates of our programmes and provide apprenticeships for people leaving custody and those on ROTL (day release).

We will be using the money raised this weekend to fund this expansion. We're just shy of the £15,000 mark on Justgiving.Follow the button below to help us hit it!

Our Trustee, Rob said, ‘This weekend wasn’t really about how far we walked. It was about who we did it with, why we were doing it and the traits it built in us.’

Two of the 3Pillars graduates, Leon and Larry came along with us:

Leon is starting a clothing brand (3Pillars 2017)

Larry is producing and managing music (3Pillars 2018/19)

These guys are changing their own lives. They don’t need us to do that. But they do need the tools and the support.

We would like to thank our sponsor, Cumming Group for the running of the 3Peaks event. A tough challenge, with 1600m of ascent covering 39.2km in distance.

Cumming Group’s long term support of 3Pillars Project has meant so much to the charity over the years.

From CEO Mike, ‘Cumming group has provided fantastic support for 3Pillars over the past 7 years, demonstrating the impact that a growing company can have on a start up charity. We are delighted that they have once again decided to support us, this time by sponsoring our 3Peaks challenge. An enormous thanks to all at the company.’

See you for our next challenge!
